SAFETY TIPS

Sparklers should only be handled by adults. Sparklers burn at 1,200 degrees.

Children should not light, handle or play with fireworks.

Light fireworks on a hard, flat and level surface to prevent tipping over.

Secure all aerial fireworks with bricks to prevent tipping over.
-
Never put your body/head over a firework. Never put your head over a tube.

Do not aim or throw fireworks at another person.

Never relight a "dud" firework.

The fireworks shooter should wear eye protection.

Keep a bucket of water, water hose or fire extinguisher nearby.

After the firework has completed firing, pour water over it.

Only buy fireworks from licensed firework dealers.

Do not consume alcohol while lighting fireworks.

Keep your distance from fireworks.

Use fireworks in an open area away from trees, vehicles and buildings.

Read the safety labels before lighting the firework.

Do not attempt to alter fireworks or make your own fireworks.
-
Keep other fireworks at a distance while firing fireworks.
-
Obey local and state firework laws.
